Older people have families, hobbies outside of work etc.

So they want to get in, get it done, go home. This usually leads to stuff getting done at a steady cadence.

This is a bit sarcastic of course, seeing other ridiculous comments about older engineers.

There's something to be said about people who just want to get their work done in reasonable time with reasonable quality and not chase every new fad like like a dog with ADHD in a squirrel habitat.
