You probably intended to say dodecagon - a dodecahedron is a totally different kind of thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodecahedron. It's not that tidy, though, as after a year the moon is not where it started. The moon goes through closer to 12 and a half orbits around the Earth in a year than 12, so it doesn't trace out a dodecagon.
