I wanted to improve my communications. I took a class in Coursera, and it had a test. I did the test myself, and then asked a friend to do the test exactly like this (as if it was me). I also asked him to NOT be nice and/or diplomatic (truth-beauty-goodness <--just pick truth). We got very close marks, which meant that a) I know myself pretty OK, b) my friend has identified me well/hasn't misunderstood my intentions in life, etc. c) I'm an asshole :) (on the truth-beauty-goodness, I go 100% truth).

In a tangent of that tangent, I was listening to a podcast, and someone said something along the lines of: "love is when you want the other person to end up in Heaven". For me, truth is the path. Beauty with lies, and goodness with lies are the short-way-home.
