As an option, Dettol pine oil disinfectant cleaner is still available https://duckduckgo.com/?q=dettol+pine+oil&ia=web
Dettol has pine oil mainly for the scent; its main active ingredient is Chloroxylenol which is toxic to cats in addition to being disastrous for marine life.
Original pinesol is primarily sodium lauryl sulfate (soap found in everything) and pine oil for disinfecting… plus ethoxylated alcohols, which are safe for household use but unfortunately disastrous to marine life as exemplified by TFA. I think the real original formula did not contain these latter alcohols and I was unaware of them when I made my purchase.

In fact, chloroxylenol is the precursor to the proposed safer alternative, according to the article.
Interesting recommendation; I never came across it before! Is it sold in stores?
I bought a bulk order of the “real” original pinesol (the formula where they were still using pine tree oil) from their website ehen they reintroduced it for a retro launch a few years ago, but will consider this when my supply runs out. How does it smell?
