This is a neat thing to see at the top of an article, very in line with the hacker spirit.
I don't write it explicitly, but this has been the goal pretty much every time I've put a bunch of work into writing up how I've done some complicated thing. It's half Cunningham's Law and half trying to convince the experts out there that putting in the effort of telling me the better way to do things won't be wasted.
